Job description

In this graduate Database Analyst job, your primary role will be to maintain the integrity of the information in the company's database, produce key management reports based on the data, extract and transform data into and out of the system and become the firm’s resident expert on the program. The successful candidate will gain a general understanding of their advisory business, including the various types of deals as well as an understanding of their client base. This position will be based out of the London office and will be the primary support for the London and Paris offices with other European offices to follow.

Key responsibilities

In this Database Analyst job, your responsibilities will include:

  • Taking responsibility for entering contacts into Salesforce related to new hires and other additions
  • Assisting senior bankers with entering meeting notes related to marketing meetings
  • Taking responsibility for the creation of pitches in Salesforce and adding deal team staffing
  • Running certain staffing reports out of Salesforce
  • Working with deal teams to keep deals stages up to date
  • Being responsible for running reports for management, to be used for:
    • Meeting agendas (e.g. list of pitches and/or deals)
    • Staffing reports (for entire office or for individuals)
    • Other reports as requested (e.g. calling activity, meeting notes etc.)
  • Being responsible for overseeing certain aspects of closed deal processes
  • Assisting with trouble-shooting; serving as a “go-to” expert for using Salesforce within London and Paris
  • Working with the global Salesforce team to provide user support and training surrounding the Salesforce platform

Job requirements

  • A 2:1 or above from a top university
  • A year or above in a similarly analytical position
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (French language skills are a plus!)
  • Assertive and self-motivated – candidates must be good multitaskers
  • Successful candidates have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills and the ability to work well with differing personality types
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and data management and manipulation (e.g. write and use formulas, track statistics, manipulate data tables)
