In this Graduate Account Manager job, you will be joining a rapidly expanding education startup, that is disrupting the way that we support schools, parents and children. With the aim to help reduce the burden of tutoring, they have developed 1-on-1 mentoring combined with American-style summer camps and mentoring & camp programmes overseas at various 5* resorts – that has so far helped more than 2000 students gain admission to the UK’s top independent schools and universities. They were set-up to tackle the pressurised, anxiety-driven education market in London and with over 100 dedicated mentors, they have helped a number of children to succeed beyond traditional tutoring, as well as working to support schools, parents and children.

Job description

In this Account Manager opportunity for graduates, you will be working alongside the co-founders, taking on a variety of different client management responsibilities to help the growth of the business.You will be responsible for managing relationships with clients and mentors, pairing clients with suitable mentors and being the the middleman between both parties. They’re looking for someone who can match the energy and drive within the office who is comfortable talking in an open office on the phone to families, firm and fair in their approach to clients and excited by the prospect of being part of a growing business.

Key responsibilities

In this Account manager job in London, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing relationships for our clients and mentors, pairing clients with suitable mentors and being the middleman between both parties.
  • Managing the day-to-day operations and administration of the company and your clients
  • Managing the team of mentors and monitoring the administration of the employment of new mentors, including running the interview process
  • Financial administration: using automated accounting platform to send and chase invoices, and pay mentors each month.
  • Data management of clients and mentors.
  • Diary management of clients and mentors.

Job requirements

  • A minimum of a 2.1 from university
  • Prior experience managing B2C & B2B relationships
  • Exceptional communication skills and customer focus, with the ability to gain a thorough understanding of the customer needs
  • The ability to construct and deliver effective presentations both internally and externally
  • The desire to drive solution-related discussions with customers
  • Proven ability working within a fast-paced marketing role and the ability to carry out the responsibilities listed with complete autonomy
  • Exceptional written and communication skills
  • A proactive and ambitious candidate who thrives in a challenging, fast-paced environment who craves responsibility and autonomy
