Junior Software Developer - Job description

In this Junior Software Developer job working, you will be putting your programming skills to the test, working closely with the tech lead and other developers on a variety of projects. On a day-to-day basis, your role will vary from building new features, to playing a key design and development role in the evolution of our software product. You’ll be given the chance to work across all of the product modules in our web application.

Junior Software Developer - Key responsibilities

In this Junior Full Stack Developer job, your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating across the team and other departments to build solid, clean code
  • Taking time to fix any bugs and look for any system improvements
  • Working on both the front and back end to ensure that smooth functionality
  • Work and develop towards taking lead on new projects
  • Test your work and deliver fully functional product features
  • Work with the testing team to verify quality

Junior Software Developer - Job requirements

  • A passion for technology, articulated through academic study in Computer Science, OR relevant upskilling in IT and technology
  • Professional experience working in a varied tech stack, ideally including C# .NET, SQL, Jira, Octopus, TeamCity. But not essential
  • Specific experience using ASP.NET web-forms would be excellent but again is not essential
  • A passion for building robust and clean user experiences
  • A self-starter with the desire to learn and develop, someone who is not afraid to voice their ideas and be a part of a smaller team environment
