We're on the lookout for technically minded graduates to join a burgeoning IT consultancy company. Its team has been at the forefront of enterprise monitoring software for over 20 years with some of the leading global software vendors.

It designs and builds customised solutions using partners’ software for large blue-chip customers in a variety of sectors, including financial services, telecommunications, managed services, and retail. Looking to scale from the ground up, it is on the hunt for IT-focused graduates wanting to begin a career in technical consultancy.

Job description - Junior IT Consultant

In this IT Consultant role, you will be working closely with the CEO and key members of the leadership team. Your role will be varied, with lots of hands-on responsibility from day one. You will be involved with client communications, advising on, and designing technical solutions for business problems. This will lead to a varied role, focused on not just technical development and implementation, but a clear and succinct consultative approach, where the client has full insight into the process and the partnership.

Key responsibilities - Junior IT Consultant

In this IT Consultant role, your tasks will include:

• Working with a variety of IT tools and systems towards implementation for your clients
• Liaising with key decision-makers and maintaining open dialogue through the process
• Being end-to-end with the support, deployment, and administration of various enterprise software solutions
• Managing your projects with effective transparency in collaboration with the wider team

Job requirements - Junior IT Consultant

• Degree educated in Computer Science or related discipline
• Fantastic communication skills, both written and verbal
• A genuine desire to understand and provide thoughtful and professional service to customers
• Enthusiasm to learn new technologies and grow with the business
• A natural generator of ideas and a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Any experience in one or more of the following technologies:
  • Server administration (Microsoft Windows, Linux)
  • Databases, SQL, APIs
  • Networking
  • Cloud administration (AWS, Azure, Google)
  • Containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Programming/scripting (Python, Java Script)

PLEASE NOTE: This role requires the candidate to be office-based out of the Milton Keynes HQ – candidates will ideally live locally or be able to commute on a daily basis.
