Job description - IT Systems Analyst

In this 1st Line IT Support job in London, you will join a dynamic and collaborative team, where you will work to provide information systems and computer support to the business' internal customers. Be the first point of contact for all queries raised via telephone or tickets from internal users, ensuring a high level of customer service and support is provided. Provide 1st line support with a sensitivity to the different priorities from all requesters. Key responsibilities - IT Systems Analyst

In this IT Analyst job in London, you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining lines of communication between the IT department and Customers; coordinating IT activities with 3rd parties and user departments
  • Providing 1st line support to the business, ensuring all requests are correctly prioritised, recorded/logged, escalated, and managed
  • Carrying out desktop/ laptop rollout and replacement, PC assembly from components, software installation and data transfer, and general PC troubleshooting
  • Tracking and management of IT assets within the asset inventory tool
  • Assisting in the installation, upgrading, operation, control, maintenance, and effective use of the desktop and voice infrastructures
  • Setting up and revoking user accounts & VPN certificates
  • Creating accounts for new users in the business systems, configuring systems, and testing new equipment and software for the business
  • Preparing schedules for rollout and providing materials for training users on the use of new equipment, software, or technologies
  • Assisting users to assure that software operates in a manner consistent with expectations
  • Being a part of the shift rota to cover core business-operating hours - some weekend work may also be required
  • Telephony system configuration (3CX) and the associated protocol management
  • Being vigilant in regards to physical and network security, making sure that temporary access is monitored and all physical secure areas are kept secure

Job requirements - IT Systems Analyst

  • A university graduate with at least a 2:2
  • Previous customer service experience/IT Support experience is a plus
  • Proven Microsoft skillset
  • Understanding of PC hardware, setup, and configuration
  • Working knowledge of using a ticketing system
  • Understanding of Command line scripting, e.g. PowerShell or Bash
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the company in a professional manner, face-to-face, on the telephone, and in writing
