Job description

In this HR Assistant graduate job, you will be joining a small but rapidly growing start-up, who’s operations team are growing at a rapid rate. You will be joining the People & Culture team, responsible for making the business an amazing place to work. You will be involved in the writing and management of all People & Culture communications such as guidance articles, organizing and Scheduling Training, supporting managers with Disciplinaries and Grievances admin as well as taking ownership for our annual wellbeing week including its planning, delivery and also organising team events, parties & awards. This role requires exceptional communication and organisational skills as you will be working to improve the culture and working environment within the business

Key responsibilities

In this HR Assistant job, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Head of People & Culture in creating an amazing workplace for team members to thrive within
  • Training scheduling, organising and collecting feedback
  • Supporting managers with Disciplinaries and Grievances admin
  • Supporting the Head of People & Culture with monthly reporting of people data
  • Writing guidance and articles on our company intranet
  • Managing People & Culture comms out to the business
  • Supporting our team and managers with contracts, holiday & various other People and Culture queries
  • Taking ownership for our annual wellbeing week, planning, delivering and reporting on uptake
  • Organising team events, parties & awards
  • Working with the people and culture team on collecting employee feedback, and acting upon it to improve the workplace

Job requirements

  • A degree from a top university
  • Previous HR experience, internships, placements preferable.
  • A passion for organisation and project management, and the ability to juggle multiple projects
  • You will have been involved with multiple extra curricular activities while at university, from holding positions in societies to working alongside your degree spinning multiple plates
  • HR or people operations experiences is a huge bonus
  • Be passionate about Childcare/Early Years Sector
  • Exceptional phone manner and email communications
  • Positive attitude (you always see the glass half full!)
  • Adaptable and flexible with a desire to take on additional responsibility
