As Give A Grad A Go's Team Leader, I am responsible for leading a team of four Consultants and two Resourcers. It’s my job to make sure that my team are supported, getting all the help they need in order to grow within the business, as well as managing my own client base.

My area of expertise

My team and I work with clients within a huge array of sectors - including FinTech, Recruitment, FMCG and Retail to name a few. We are also building a solid client base within some emerging markets including MedTech, HealthTech, EdTech and InsurTech (everything tech!)

The worst job I've had

Job description

In this HR Administrator job, you will be joining the New Starter team and working as part of the wider People & Culture team. Your aim will be to provide a seamless and supportive onboarding experience to all new starters – including carrying out the day-to-day coordination and running of the New Starter Welcome Programme, answering queries from new hires, and acting as a vital point of contact for these employees. You will need to be both personable and professional, as you’ll be expected to provide an exceptional level of service to candidates and hiring managers alike.

Key responsibilities

In this HR Administrator job, your responsibilities will include:

  • Scheduling and coordinating the New Starter Welcome Programme and other onboarding activities
  • Hosting the New Starter Welcome Programme and delivering presentations to groups of new starters
  • Answering queries from new starters, and going above and beyond to find the answers
  • Relationship building and instilling trust with new starters, through one-to-one meetings, ensuring that they feel supported and welcome
  • Organising (end-to-end) activities and events for new starters across numerous time zones, and liaising with central and wider operations teams for support where needed
  • Preparing reports and back-end processing to ensure smooth logistical and operational onboarding experiences
  • Working on new initiatives and ad hoc project work, to allow the continuous improvement and evolution of different teams’ work
  • Supporting the wider People & Culture team with general administrative tasks when needed – including working on projects and proactively suggesting ideas for continuous improvement to grow efficiencies

So, what are we looking for?

  • A 2.1 from a good university
  • Ideally, 6-12 months’ administrative experience in a fast-paced environment where you have handled large amounts of data or managed diaries
  • Someone who can work independently, but also enjoys working collaboratively with a wider team
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a natural ability to build rapport
  • A problem solver with the ability to be flexible in a constantly changing environment
  • Fantastic organisation skills with the ability to juggle many projects at once
  • Incredible attention to detail
  • Great computer skills and data-entry experience would be a real plus
  • A highly collaborative team player who is not afraid of taking on a fresh challenge
