Job Description

In this Automation Engineer job, you can expect a varied position as the company grows, working on several systems and products simultaneously, showcasing your strong level of knowledge and experience in Linux. Our client is eager to speak with experienced Systems and Cloud focused candidates, with a passion for technology and a proven track record of leading from the front!

Key Responsibilities

In this Software Engineer job, your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintenance and deployment of Linux systems and infrastructure
  • Helping install and triage complicated customer installations on-prem and in the cloud
  • Assisting with the development of configuration management
  • Creating automated scripts to easily maintain our VMs on the various Hypervisors
  • Developing new integration tools
  • Developing and promoting best practices within the Team

Job Requirements

  • You will be well versed with Linux, ideally with experience in advanced command line
  • Experience programming in Python, and working in cloud environments such as AWS or Azure
  • A good technical grounding, built on through academic and professional experience. Some key areas of expertise will include Docker, Kubernetes, database admin with SQL, MariaDB etc.
  • Comfort in working within all aspects of the software development lifecycle, from requirement gathering to testing & maintenance

  • Offices in the City of London, near Tower Hill & Aldgate. Please note that our client is open to people working mostly from home, with periodic travel to the office when required
