My current role within Give A Grad A Go is as a Recruitment Consultant for the Corporate Desk. I work mostly on technology and digital graduate jobs, often within emerging markets like FinTech, PropTech and EdTech.

My area of expertise

The Corporate Desk works predominantly within the financial realm, but often in combination with innovative, high-growth indsutries like FinTech and InsurTech. I work on a range of graduate jobs within these industries - from IT roles to Business Development and Project Manager graduate jobs - meaning that I get to speak to a number of very different candidates on a daily basis!

The worst job I've had

I can honestly say that I've been lucky enough to have enjoyed every one of my previous roles - from working over the summer at McDonald's after my A-Levels, to leading a team and training at new cafe openings within M&S, I have worked with some amazing people and look back fondly at every experience.

In this Executive Assistant graduate job, you will become a crucial part of the business from day one – undertaking a range of different operational, HR and administrative duties. It will be your responsibility to manage the schedules and operations for the CEO and COO at a time of incredible growth for the business. You will need to be resilient, proactive and have bags of initiative – as you’ll be expected to keep many different plates spinning at once, ensuring that processes are completed in the most timely and efficient way possible.

Key responsibilities

In this Executive Assistant graduate job, your responsibilities will include:

  • Co-ordinating and owning two back-to-back diaries and making sure that everything runs smoothly
  • Overseeing the smooth running of office operations – you could be doing anything from fixing computers for new starters through to handling a lost Ocado order
  • Managing inboxes and proactively handling constantly changing demands for the CEO and COO
  • Prioritising short vs long term needs and emailing on behalf of the CEO and COO
  • Delivering operational efficiency to the business
  • Managing internal HR processes including onboarding of new starters
  • Undertaking general ad hoc tasks across the business

So, what are we looking for?

  • A 2.1 from a top university
  • An analytical mind and a strategic problem solver
  • High levels of emotional intelligence – you will have a knack for managing expectations both internally and externally
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A keen interest and engagement in client support
  • A second language is a plus!
  • Experience with Zendesk is desirable but not essential
  • A willingness to work and succeed within a startup environment
