Graduate Designer - Job description

In this Creative Designer role, you will be working closely with the Senior Designer and Creative Director to push the boundaries of what’s possible when you combine human-led storytelling with powerful, contextually relevant data. You will be learning about and helping to develop the company's creative strategy, as well as working on a range of client design briefs. You'll need to have a good understanding of Adobe, and ideally some experience in marketing, as you will be getting involved in various aspects of the creative process, and having your ideas heard by the wider team.

Graduate Designer - Key responsibilities

  • Preparing and managing assets
  • Communicating with clients, where applicable, regarding the production and delivery of content
  • Supporting the Creative Strategy team in developing concepts
  • Designing reports for professional audiences in digital publishing teams
  • Constantly finding creative solutions to issues and obstacles
  • Establishing ways to innovate whilst understanding the importance of consistency
  • Delivers to agreed deadlines - no fails

Graduate Designer - Job requirements

  • Ideally, you will be degree educated in design or a similar creative discipline. We will require a link to your portfolio!
  • A ‘digital first’ individual - fully conversant with design technology
  • You will need to be passionate about marketing and the use of new technologies, especially the intersection of data and creativity
  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Suite and graphic design software (Illustrator, Powerpoint and Keynote are essential)
  • Design-trained to understand typography, composition and layout
  • Strong organisational skills, most importantly file management and methodical workflow
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at one time
  • An exceptional team player and collaborator
  • Curious about business and marketing strategy - able to contribute and discuss report subjects
