This is a highly entrepreneurial Graduate Business Consultant position, you will be joining a hugely exciting startup in the fast-moving consumer goods industry. They are the UK’s first on-demand supermarket delivering groceries in just 15 minutes through an app and website. You will be joining a small but ambitious team and your work will be hugely impactful from day one. In the first 6 months, you can expect to help push awareness of our client’s services across London, improve internal efficiency and ensure our client’s customer base are seeing the amazing benefits of the service on offer.

Job Description

In this FMCG Graduate Business Consultant job in London, you will be part of the Commercial team, supporting the daily operations and ultimately the expansion of the business. You will need to use your entrepreneurial flair and ability to work with data to test new business hypothesis. You will work closely with various departments, including Marketing and Product, to help refine how your customer base want to engage with the product on offer. In order to be successful in this role, you must enjoy working in a hugely fast-paced environment, where no two days are the same and you’re happy juggling lots of projects! You must also be analytical, Excel skills are a must.

Key Responsibilities

In this Graduate Business Consultant role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Sourcing new business propositions and seeing/tracking the impact of said propositions. Focusing specifically on the customer base and internal team
  • Consistency evaluating the business proposition, finding new ways to trial and test performance through analysing relevant data
  • Tracking, analysing and reporting on key metrics and presenting back to the wider team
  • Negotiating fees and rates with the relevant partners
  • Helping to develop a best practice and defining what ‘good’ business practice looks like
  • Supporting new team members and helping to provide ad-hoc training
  • Making sure new hubs are fitted out correctly and that all parties have the materials needed to succeed
  • Conducting market research and analysing bench-marking data
  • Developing strong working relationships with marketing, operations and finance – and providing ad hoc support when required
  • Keeping up to date with key market trends and reporting your findings

Job Requirements

  • A 2.1 degree in a STEM subject from a top university
  • 6 months + commercial experience, ideally in consultancy, Project Management or Ops
  • Proven entrepreneurial flare – did you set up a side hustle during university? Have you always got a new venture up your sleeve?
  • Excel skills are important – you must have your Pivot tables mastered!
  • A can-do attitude! You love working at pace and are comfortable with change
  • Highly proficient in written and spoken English
  • Excellent communication skills - you can talk to anyone and everyone
  • Ambition in abundance, with an eagerness to continually self-improve and learn

  • A great starting salary of £28,000 - 35,000 (DOE)
