Job description

In this Commercial Manager job, you will be reporting directly to the Head of Commercial, whilst also working closely with the Senior Analyst and the COO in a cross-functional capacity. You will engage in a wide variety of business-critical tasks and projects, chief among helping to maintain and develop relationships with key business partners. Spinning multiple plates is important, as you ensure our client continues to grow revenues and profitability, without losing sight of their strategic direction and the needs of their customers.

This role represents the next step to elite leadership for a top graduate with strong experience in consultancy or strategy. You must have clear evidence of success in these types of roles in your career so far.

Key responsibilities

In this Commercial Manager role in London, your responsibilities will include:

  • Accountability for the monetisation target and setting strategy for key product verticals such as personal loans and car finance
  • Acting as the first point of contact for partners in the daily relationship
  • Onboarding new lenders and products; taking the lead in key processes, such as business development, contracts, and tech integrations
  • Driving performance and collaboration with key partners – everything from promotional plans to product listings; commissions to custom product creation
  • Conducting analysis and present the findings to partners, management team, and the rest of the business

Job requirements

  • A strong academic background, degree educated to a high standard
  • 2+ years’ work experience in a commercial or strategy-focused role/management consultancy
  • A genuine passion for technology, and working within a start-up environment
  • Experience in data analysis and insight would be incredibly beneficial
  • Excellent organisation skills, with the ability to keep many plates spinning at once
  • Fantastic communication skills, both written and spoken
