Through my time at Give A Grad A Go so far, I have had the opportunity to work on many roles in a variety of sectors. But because of my scientific background I enjoy working on the graduate jobs that we have on in the MedTech and HealthTech sectors.

Why I chose to work at Give A Grad A Go

I initially used Give A Grad A Go to help me find a job. I got to the final stages of lots of jobs, but nothing was quite the right fit for me. When I came in to talk to some of the Consultants here, one of them suggested that I come and interview here! I hadn’t considered graduate jobs in recruitment before, but upon careful consideration I thought that it would be an excellent chance for me to develop myself, as well as help out graduates who are going through exactly what I was.

The worst job I've had

I wouldn't say that I have had any really terrible jobs thankfully! However there have certainly been some tough moments that have not been too much fun. The closest I have come to quitting is when I worked on a sheep farm in Australia. It was the middle of summer, about 40 degrees and we were working in the wool shed. The roof was corrugated iron and only made it hotter - after a few hours of hard physical work I had definitely had enough!

Job description

In this Client Success Executive graduate job, you will be responsible for driving usage and engagement across the company’s client base. This role will initially be predominantly phone-based, progressing to face to face meetings with key clients. Liaising with the senior leadership team, librarians and heads of departments within educational institutions across the world, you will advocate the innovative power of their online resource, enabling students across the globe to unlock their full potential.

Key responsibilities

In this Client Success Executive job, your role will involve:

  • Reviewing data for the growing customer base to ensure that each customer is successful
  • Calling all end users (Heads of Drama / English Literature, Librarians, university faculties) to drive engagement, and usage of content
  • Owning the customer journey from beginning to end, with the ability to support the business through insights and best practice
  • Expanding the end user base by locating new points of contact within subscribing institutions and referrals
  • Communicating with university student bodies to support high usage
  • Successfully onboarding newly acquired clients
  • Creating a pool of clients that have agreed to either speak to other schools, or can give a testimonial
  • Creating a report for the Retention Manager ahead of handing schools over to be renewed

So, what are we looking for?

  • Ideally, a Drama or English graduate, from a good university
  • 1 years’ experience in a phone / customer support based environment
  • A highly articulate communicator with an impeccable phone manner
  • Driven, passionate and focused
  • A pro-active self-starter
  • Process driven and well organised
  • A background in education is desirable

  • Someone who is highly proficient in all MS Office products
  • The ability to prioritise tasks and workload to manage deadlines

  • Owning a book of business comprising of approximately 25 high-value accounts
  • You will be accountable for the performance of your book and expected to meet retention targets as well as identify opportunities for growth
  • Reaching out thoughtfully and proactively to communicate best practices, drive adoption, communicate new feature releases and maintain an up to date partner health grade
  • Coaching your hotel partners on how to effectively use the platform to optimise online guest experience, increase direct bookings and revenue
  • Collecting customer feedback and communicating new product requirements
  • Partnering with the customer sales team to identify upsell opportunities and assisting in renewing and expanding customer contracts
  • Collaborating closely with the wider team including product, engineering and finance to resolve issues and provide proactive support and service
  • Attending and presenting at events and industry conferences to gain insights, build relationships, and raise personal and company profile
  • Maintaining accurate reporting of customer status in internal systems

So, what are we looking for?

  • A 2.1 from university
  • Fluent German & English
  • 1 years' experience working in a client-facing role (support, sales, account management, etc.)
  • Experience working with software and strong data analysis skills (including quantitative analysis) and proven critical thinking capability
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to speak with and present to customer C-Level
  • Experience within the hospitality industry would be beneficial
