Job description - Business Development Executive

In this Business Development Executive role, you will become part of the sales team, working to identify opportunities to expand the business to new clients across the market. You will use your existing business development skills to make contact with businesses via a range of tools from LinkedIn to calls and emails. Once you have made contact, you will set up meetings for senior members of the team to attend and close deals. Key responsibilities - Business Development Executive

In this Business Development Executive job, your responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying new sales opportunities and generating business meetings through prospecting and outbound call and email activity as well as LinkedIn
  • Executing campaigns in conjunction with ongoing marketing and demand generation programmes
  • Following up on inbound enquiries in addition to creating customised target lists
  • Engaging, nurturing, and qualifying marketing responses and sales initiatives
  • Inputting data of new contacts and leads into the CRM system
  • Maintaining an understanding of market trends and drivers
  • Gather customer insight and market intelligence through customer contact
  • Collaborate with Sales to develop relationships and help improve the customer sales experience
  • Attend weekly sales and product training to develop an understanding of the markets we operate in

Job requirements - Business Development Executive

  • A 2:1 from university ideally in Finance, Business, Economics or a related subject
  • Previous experience in a sales or communications driven role is desirable
  • A hungry, ambitious, personable, and articulate graduate
  • Good communication skills – you’ll be expected to liaise with investors over the telephone
  • The ability to demonstrate professionalism in all aspects of work
  • An enthusiastic, resilient, and proactive approach
