Job description - Business Development Executive

In this entry-level Sales job in London, you will work closely with the Head of Sales to act as the first point of contact for prospective clients, as well as creating and qualifying new sales opportunities throughout the UK, Europe, and the US. After the successful ramp-up and once confident in the training and development given, you will then be expected to implement a variety of outbound activities, such as lead refresh campaigns, email messaging, LinkedIn, and outbound calls.

Key responsibilities - Business Development Executive

In this Business Development Executive job, your responsibilities will include:

  • Be the first point of contact for prospective customers
  • Create and qualify sales opportunities in the UK, Europe, and the US, using a number of outbound sales activities (cold-calling, lead refresh campaigns, LinkedIn, and email messaging)
  • Respond to inbound sales queries in a timely and effective manner
  • Work alongside the Head of Marketing to help create, target, and execute campaigns
  • Maintain accurate records within the CRM system
  • Assist in meetings and product demonstrations

Job requirements - Business Development Representative

  • A recent or soon-to-be graduate, someone eager to get their career in sales off the ground!
  • An understanding of technology, with the ability to articulate simple principles
  • A competitive 'can-do' character with a drive to succeed
  • Some examples of juggling multiple deadlines and the desire to work within a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
  • An interest in media and publishing with the ability to understand buyers and end-users
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
