Business Development Executive - Job description

Our client is looking for an ambitious and tenacious salesperson to work closely with the senior team to help further the company’s growth, and develop an understanding of the end to end sales process. In this Accounts Executive job you will spend most of your time conducting research online, offline, and by phone to identify companies and opportunities that fit the target brief. You will shadow senior members, working together to excel at creating and closing new business opportunities. The role requires an inquisitive mind, intuition, and a preference to work independently for long periods of time.

Business Development Executive - Key responsibilities

In this Graduate Sales Executive role, you'll be involved in:

  • Researching online, offline and by phone to identify companies and opportunities to fit briefs
  • Shadowing senior members to develop understanding of the end to end sales process
  • Effectively working in a team and on your own when required
  • Generating new business opportunities with new and existing clients
  • Building rapport and managing lasting relationships with all clientele
  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails
  • With training, taking ownership of the full sales cycle from first contact outreach to closing business deals

Business Development Executive - Job requirements

  • Inquisitive mind and highly motivated
  • Intuition and ability to work independently for long periods of time
  • Ideally 2 years experience in a similar role, but not essential
  • Experience with Salesforce preferred
  • Ability to build rapport over the telephone
  • An outgoing personality with the ability to converse with a range of clients
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
