I came to Give A Grad A Go as a graduate 4 years ago in the hope of finding a role within Marketing & Advertising or PR & Communications in London. It quickly became clear that what I was really looking for was a chance to communicate with these industries rather than work within them. I was really sold by the Give A Grad A Go culture and opportunity to develop quickly and build up an exciting portfolio of clients I could manage. The worst job I've had

I found myself working in the energy industry before I worked at Give A Grad A Go. It was really interesting to learn more about energy, but setting margins for huge corporate energy tenders felt a little bit out of my comfort zone!

Job description

In this Business Development Executive graduate job, you will be utilising your French language skills at a leading FinTech startup. In the role, you will be working within the tight-knit sales team, acting as the first point of contact for inbound prospective clients as well as reaching out to new business leads. You will need to be confident, personable, and possess first-rate French and English language skills, as you will be working as part of the London team, but helping to accelerate rapid growth within the French markets.

Key responsibilities

In this Business Development Executive graduate job, your responsibilities will include:

  • Being trained on the product so you are familiar inside and out with their technology
  • Reaching out to inbound leads from the French market as potential new clients – qualifying the lead and selling the product
  • Taking a consultative approach to calls, listening to and appreciating the requirements of French merchants
  • Passing on qualified leads to the Account Executives
  • Undertaking thorough research and identifying new leads in the French market
  • Working closely with the marketing team to send out effective email marketing campaigns that will accelerate growth in the French markets
  • Continually providing improvements to the way that business development processes are carried out

Job requirements

  • A 2.1 from a top university
  • A fluent French speaker
  • 1+ years' experience in a B2B sales role
  • Some customer facing experience
  • An understanding and appreciation of technology and startup environments
  • A real drive to succeed and develop your career
  • A fantastic communicator, both written and verbal
  • An entrepreneurial spirit (e.g. founder of a business / previous self-employment)
  • A proactive person who kept themselves busy during university with extra-curricular activities or internships
  • Demonstrable interest or previous experience in technology, SaaS or payments

In this Compliance Officer graduate job, you will be joining the company’s compliance operations team. Your role will involve ensuring the verification of all new clients, as well as playing a role in customer onboarding decisions, customer experience, and due diligence checks. You will need to have some experience in a customer or client-facing role, as you will be required to communicate with a number of new clients and play a key role in their onboarding.

Please note: This opportunity will be remote, working from Sunday - Thursday 23:00 - 8:00 on an initial 12-month contract. Due to the out of usual hours work, the salary is competitive with a 20% bonus so your annual salary will be 35,000 in total.

Key responsibilities

In this Compliance Officer job, your responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing new customer documentation and making decisions during the onboarding process
  • Identifying and resolving alerts after their PEPs and Sanctions screening process
  • Communicating with new clients throughout the onboarding process ensuring excellent customer service throughout
  • Carrying out due diligence checks
  • Reviewing the customer experience constantly so that they are working as efficiently as possible
  • Being part of the compliance team that identifies and investigates any suspicious activity

Job requirements

  • A 2.1 degree from a top university
  • 1 years' experience working in compliance
  • A real passion for the FinTech industry and anti-money laundering / counter-terrorist financing
  • AML / KYC checks, or any experience in a politically exposed position would be a huge plus
  • Any experience in a customer facing role is important
  • An inquisitive mind!
  • Incredible organisation skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills
  • A confident communicator, both written and verbal
  • A team player who enjoys collaborating with others
  • A problem solver who will enjoy making processes more efficient
  • Additional languages are a bonus – French, German or Spanish
