In this Administrative Assistant job, you will be joining a consultancy specialising in R&D tax credit claims. They work with some of the UK’s most exciting and innovative businesses to help them gain access to huge amounts of revenue from Government grants and schemes, put in place to incentivise innovation and investment in the UK.

Established in 2020, this firm has quickly emerged as the challenger to the established market leaders. To date, it has delivered in excess of £30m of client benefit and is currently working on an additional £20m. The Government budget for R&D this year is £14.9 Billion, so there is huge potential here and this firm has an incredibly scalable model! It has ambitious growth plans to double in size every year for the next 3 years. Due to continued success, they are looking for multiple motivated graduates to join the team.

Job description – Administrative Assistant

In this Administrative Assistant role, the team you will be joining the Capital Allowances team who have extensive experience of providing advice to a diverse mix of clients, across all sectors and industries, during the design, construction and acquisition process. You will have a range of responsibilities that revolve around working closely with senior management to help facilitate workflows and to run internal and external operations and logistics. Key responsibilities – Administrative Assistant

In this Administrative Assistant opportunity, your responsibilities will include:

  • Reporting to senior management and performing secretarial and administrative duties
  • Liaising with internal departments, answering calls, and making travel arrangements
  • Managing internal and external correspondence on behalf of senior management
  • New starter admin (contracts, laptop order and set up, new phones)
  • Liaison with outsourced IT provider
  • Scheduling appointments, maintaining an events calendar, and sending reminders
  • Entering data, maintaining databases, and keeping records
  • Preparing facilities for scheduled events and arranging refreshments, if required
  • Ordering office supplies and replacements, as well as managing mail and courier services

Job requirements – Administrative Assistant

  • A degree from a university (desirable but not essential)
  • Experience within an office or commercial environment
  • Articulate and professional
  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills
  • Resilient, adaptable and able to keep up with shifting responsibilities!
  • A team player
