Job description - Account Manager

In this Account Manager role, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day aspects of client accounts and ensuring all clients receive first-class service at all times. This role also involves developing your own media handling, advisory style and skills as well as preparing documents for press releases and presentations ahead of their submission to the client. Key responsibilities - Account Manager

  • Managing a portfolio of clients with first-class service
  • Preparing press release documents, Q&As and presentations for review before being sent to clients
  • Handling all secondary media relations in relation to your accounts
  • Establish a broad personal network of accounts, including journalists, analysts and market advisors
  • Be fully up to speed with competitor analysis
  • Help with new business pitches and identifying new leads
  • Help with the delivery of ad-hoc projects such as Mergers and Acquisitions or Crisis communications

Job requirements - Account Manager

  • A 2.1 from university
  • Lots of enthusiasm and a proven interest in the news, business and financial communications
  • Excellent written communication skills – you will be required to write clearly and concisely
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage a team to deliver results
  • Desire to build close relationships with clients and understand their objectives
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to take on a range of tasks
  • Solid financial acumen
  • Excellent organisational skills and a proactive approach to ensure that all tasks are completed in a time-effective manner
