Company profile - Tech Startup

In this Account Manager job, you’ll be joining a pioneering tech start-up digitizing an entire industry. Well-funded and rapidly growing, our client has created a platform for the benefit of all tradespeople, merchants and households. Picture Uber or Deliveroo but for the trades (i.e. plumbing/heating etc). In an industry worth in excess of £25billion annually, our client has partnered with the biggest suppliers in the industry to deliver tools on-demand within 30 minutes to tradespeople across London and soon all of the UK. This means tradespeople save 50hours of billable time every month that would’ve been spent looking for parts. This also means your heating gets fixed the first time the handyman comes around.

Key responsibilities - Account Manager

In this Account Manager job, your responsibilities will include:

  • Presenting and promoting the business to current accounts, using your negotiation and commercial skills to explain the features and benefits of our service
  • Expanding the Snap-It retail portfolio across London and future cities
  • Work closely with our product team by securing feedback from clients to help drive product development decisions
  • Diligently manage your day to day operations, planning your weekly operations and levels of activity
  • Research the industry in order to source growth opportunities
  • Drive order growth through face to face meetings and continuous customer engagement
  • Launch marketing initiatives to drive order volumes

Job requirements - Account Manager

  • You’re an articulate communicator who can build relationships quickly with clients
  • Have outstanding written and oral communication skills, with great attention to detail
  • You have a demonstrable ability to analyse customers’ needs and opportunities
  • You’re highly collaborative with colleagues, and you have exceptional planning, organisational and time management skills
  • You’ll be a great problem solver, never taking no for an answer, always looking for a solution
  • You’re ambitious, autonomous and self-motivated and can show evidence of strong performance and progression, and of meeting and exceeding targets
  • Most of all you need a can-do attitude and determination to succeed
