This is a highly entrepreneurial Account Manager position, you will be joining a hugely exciting startup in the fast-moving consumer goods industry. They are the UK’s first on-demand supermarket delivering groceries in just 15 minutes through an app and website. You will be joining a small but ambitious team and your work will be hugely impactful from day one. In the first 6 months, you can expect to help push awareness of our client’s services across London and you will be instrumental in helping to secure the second round of funding.

Job description

In this Account Manager job in London, you will be part of the Expansion team, supporting the daily operations and ultimately the expansion of the business. You will need to use your entrepreneurial flair and inherent business hustle to expand our client’s territory. You will be pushing the launch of our client’s service across London and once you’ve achieved this you will set your sights on the rest of the UK. In order to be successful in this role, you must enjoy working in a hugely fast-paced environment, where no two days are the same and you’re happy juggling lots of projects!

Key responsibilities

In this Account Manager opportunity in London, your responsibilities will include:

• Project managing the launch of new trading hubs across the Capital
• Performing site visits and ensuring they’re in line with our client’s expectations
• Tracking, analysing and reporting on key metrics.
• Negotiating fees and rates with external stakeholders and partners
• Helping to develop a best practice and defining what ‘good’ expansion looks like
• Supporting new team members and helping to provide ad-hoc training
• Making sure new hubs are fitted out correctly and that all parties have the materials needed to succeed
• Conducting market research and analysing bench-marking data
• Developing strong working relationships with marketing, operations and finance – and providing ad hoc support when required
• Keeping up to date with key market trends and reporting your findings

Job requirements

• A 2.1 degree from a top university
• Proven entrepreneurial flare – did you set up a side hustle during university? Have you always got a new venture up your sleeve?
• 6 months + commercial experience would be a real plus
• Excel skills are important - you should have a basic understanding
• A can-do attitude! You love working at pace and are comfortable with change
• Highly proficient in written and spoken English
• Excellent communication skills - you can talk to anyone and everyone
• Ambition in abundance, with an eagerness to continually self-improve and learn
