Company profile - Financial Communications

In this Junior Account Executive job, you will be joining the UK office of a leading independent corporate and financial communications agency, with offices in London and Brussels. They provide brand management, crisis comms, and public affairs consultancy to their extensive client list that includes public and privately listed companies in a wide range of industries, high profile individuals, and charities.

They have been hugely successful in developing an enviable reputation, and pride themselves on their thoughtful and accountable consultancy, designed to position businesses to the best possible commercial and reputational advantage. They are now looking to grow their team with a new Account Executive!

Key responsibilities - Account Executive

  • Undertake daily media monitoring, compile reports, and deliver findings internally and to clients
  • Have regular client contact
  • Support more senior members of client account teams in the fulfilment of client delivery - being involved in team projects means you’ll gain exposure to every area of the business!
  • Prepare briefing papers for internal and client consumption
  • Draft press releases
  • Creating social media posts
  • Pitching ideas and contributing to new business wins
  • Involvement in strategy and client meetings
  • Take minutes of client and internal meetings and draft meeting agendas
  • Provide effective and pro-active support to colleagues in respect of new business getting activities and initiatives
  • Support or be responsible for event management preparations
  • Provide necessary administrative support and execution to the team

Job requirements - Account Executive

  • A degree from a top university,
  • Academic backgrounds in English, History, Politics, Finance & Economics, International Relations, Law, or similar are ideal
  • Internship or work experience within PR, Comms, Financial Services or relevant areas required
  • Established professional experience within comms is also welcome, and higher salaries are available
  • Background, exposure to, and aptitude for media engagement is ideal
  • A good, pro-active networker
  • A strong commercial sense and an interest in a range of business sectors and issues
  • Strong copywriting skills
  • A commitment to succeed, balanced by a commitment to act in a collegiate way, as part of a closely-knit team.
