I initially used Give A Grad A Go to help me find a job. I got to the final stages of lots of jobs, but nothing was quite the right fit for me. When I came in to talk to some of the Consultants here, one of them suggested that I come and interview here! I hadn’t considered graduate jobs in recruitment before, but upon careful consideration I thought that it would be an excellent chance for me to develop myself, as well as help out graduates who are going through exactly what I was.

The worst job I've had

I wouldn't say that I have had any really terrible jobs thankfully! However there have certainly been some tough moments that have not been too much fun. The closest I have come to quitting is when I worked on a sheep farm in Australia. It was the middle of summer, about 40 degrees and we were working in the wool shed. The roof was corrugated iron and only made it hotter - after a few hours of hard physical work I had definitely had enough!

Job description

In this Graduate Account Executive job, you will be responsible for generating interest and opportunities for the team, whilst working closely with the Sales and Marketing teams. As an Account Executive, you'll be the main point of contact regarding all property-related queries; and will be managing new and current clients' office moves whilst establishing and maintaining a high standard of service at all times. As you search and acquire the best new office space for clients, you'll also be providing businesses with responsible advice regarding the London office market.

Key responsibilities

In this Account Executive graduate job, your responsibilities will include:

  • Searching and acquiring new office space in Central London using personal contacts, connections, networking events and the internet
  • Building and cultivating relationships with service providers and their agents by initiating and conducting follow-up communications
  • Building and maintaining up-to-date information about the available flexible office space
  • Coordinating with the Sales team to make the most of the available opportunities
  • Taking responsibility for the client’s office move, providing them with the right advice throughout the process
  • Arranging and accompanying the clients on all viewing tours
  • Negotiating to get the best deal for the client
  • Assisting management in preparing client presentations & follow-up contact, booking viewings and gathering proposals
  • Working with the Head of Flexible Team to develop / grow the sales pipeline to consistently meet quarterly revenue goals and performance

Job requirements

  • Experience working in an office-based and client-facing role
  • A strong communicator
  • A desire to do well and achieve in everything you do
  • An interest in property
  • Ability to prioritise conflicting tasks
  • IT literate with a good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
  • Effective time management and ability to manage their own workload
