Job description

In this Junior Account Executive job, you will be working within a tight-knit team of the business, that primarily focuses on companies in the engineering sector. Supporting the Account Manager, you’ll be assisting with the delivery of client work; including reporting and administration, as well as helping to plan and co-ordinate events, and working on the company’s own marketing strategy. You will need to be simultaneously personable and professional, as you’ll be working internally with different teams, and with a number of high-profile clients, from huge engineering companies to exciting MedTech startups, to deliver exceptional campaigns.

Key responsibilities

In this Junior PR Account Manager job, your responsibilities will include:

  • Helping to design digital communication strategies for clients (while they are a PR agency, they take an integrated digital approach, including inbound, content and SEO).
  • Supporting account managers in the roll-out of these strategies.
  • Taking detailed notes on client briefing calls.
  • Media relations - generating interesting angles, pitching stories to media, monitoring for relevant forward features, coordinating press trips and everything in-between!
  • Coordinating with our SEO, content and PR specialists to ensure that client work gets delivered on time and to a high standard and that we always hit our client KPIs.
  • Monitoring, recording and measuring results.
  • Stepping up when the account manager is unavailable to ensure work is delivered consistently.
  • Contributing to the company’s own marketing strategy.

Job Requirements

  • A minimum of a 2.1 result within an engineering or science subject – this is an absolute must!
  • Previous experience within PR is a bonus (ideally within B2B)
  • Are keen to become a certified integrated digital expert
  • A keen interest in technology
  • Extremely organised
  • Possesses excellent attention to detail
  • Able to communicate well with clients, anticipate their requirements and deliver exceptional service.
  • Positive and creative!
