Trainee Logistics Supervisor - Media & Marketing sector

The Role:

As the Trainee Logistics Supervisor you will be directly working for the CEO, MD and Sales & Marketing Director. Your main responsibility will be to arrange the logistics of delivering the client's products and working closely with the operations team. You will be put forward for the CPC certificate training (required by law for Logistics Management). In house training and coaching will be available to enable you to manage all aspects of Logistics Management.

Key Responsibilities:

The day to day activities include the following:

Short Term

  • Arranging deliveries of our client's product around the country through communication with
    • Their fleet of 18 vehicles and 16 drivers
    • Agency drivers
    • Third party distributors
    • Couriers
  • Liaise with Operations to ensure on time production of goods

Mid Term

  • Data input and more importantly analysis of Logistics department figures including
    • Fuel costs
    • Labour costs
    • Pallet costs
    • Third party Distribution costs
    • Fleet management
    • Yard management
    • Insurance costs

Long Term

  • Continuous improvement projects
  • Team Management

*This role will involve working Sun-Thu or Tue-Sat in a 48 hour working week*
